The training will focus on resources for various regulations (air, storm water, hazardous materials/waste, health and safety) and more focused sessions to achieve compliance. This training is a must for EH&S personnel working in industries in Southern California, mainly those in Orange County. Complimentary attendance for the first student to register.   Newport Bay Conservancy Tour & Happy Hour

  Date: December 11, 2024 (Wednesday)

  Time: Meet for Tour 3:15PM, Tour Departs 3:30PM, Tour Ends 4:30PM, Happy Hour at Salty Bear Brewery 5:00PM - 7:00PM

  TOUR LEAVES PROMPTLY AT 3:30PM

  Location: Newport Bay Conservancy – Big Canyon: 2482 Mountains to the Sea Trail and Bike Way, Newport Beach, CA 92660

  NOTE: This is not the actual parking address but it is the closest address to enter in your app. Directions: Heading south on Jamboree Rd., turn right at San Joaquin Hills Rd. If you used the address above, it should direct you to the end of the road. From here, turn right on Mountains to the Sea Trail and Bikeway (this is a ONE WAY shared path for cars, pedestrians, and bicyclists, so use caution). Half a mile up the road, a free parking lot will be on the left. This will be the tour meeting location (Parking coordinates: 33.630667, -117.88546).

  What to Expect?

  1. We will tour the Newport Bay Big Canyon and learn about the Conservancy's efforts to restore the canyon's natural condition after years of urbanization and climate change damage.
  2. After the tour, we will head to the Salty Bear Brewery for food, happy hour, and networking! This will be a great time to socialize and enjoy appetizers and drinks with up to 20 of your IEC/OC colleagues!  SPACE IS LIMITED
  3. IECOC will be making a donation which will support on the Conservancy's Big Canyon restoration efforts.
  4. Also, wear your best Holiday hat/sweater for a group picture!
  5. Free parking is available at the Newport Bay Big Canyon Conservancy. Carpool to Brewery afterwards.
