We all should expect that an emergency at work or in our neighborhoods could happen at any time. Are you and your business prepared? Come join our three (3) guest speakers as they present what a one local water utility, the OEM for the 3rd largest city in Orange County and local businesses should plan for or have planned for when an emergency strikes your business or community!!
SPEAKERS: There will be a short introduction to B.E.R.T. (Business Emergency Response Training) by their CEO, Bill Cunningham.
Kelly Hubbard, Emergency Services Manager, WEROC/MWDOC. Kelly works for the Municipal Water District of Orange County and is the Water Emergency Response Organization of Orange County Program Manager. WEROC is a water mutual assistance group for water and wastewater utilities within Orange County. Ms. Hubbard provides coordination and support for 34 agencies’ in their emergency preparedness, planning, response and recovery efforts. She works with government agencies of all disciplines to increase awareness of water utilities’ role in emergency response and to build partnerships for response. She is a California Water/Wastewater Agency Response Network mutual aid coordinator. Ms. Hubbard has a Master’s of Science in Emergency Services Administration from California State University, Long Beach.
Linda Bogue, MAOL, Emergency Management PSA, Irvine Police Dept. Linda works for the City of Irvine Police Department in the Office of Emergency Management. She currently works on developing plans and exercises to enhance the City’s ability to prepare for, respond to, and recover from large scale emergencies caused by natural, human-caused or technological hazards. Prior to coming to the City, Linda was the Emergency Services Manager for a major public university for over 10 years, raising the readiness and resilience of all student, faculty and staff constituencies. Linda has a BA in Speech Communication from San Diego State University and MA in Organizational Leadership from Chapman University.
Tony Adame, CBCP, Director of Consulting Services for RIPCORD. Tony is responsible for providing business continuity planning, emergency response planning, disaster planning, crisis communication, and computer incident response (CIRT) services to Ripcord clients. Tony has over 20 years of experience in assessing business impacts for clients in various industries. His experience includes providing business and property risk assessments, emergency response planning, crisis communication planning, and facilitation of information systems response to large scale computer incidents. Tony has made presentations on several BCP and CIRT subjects at the Disaster Recovery Journal Conference, Association of Contingency Planners, and the Red Cross Disaster Preparedness Academy. Tony has a Bachelor of Arts – Business Administration (Administrative Studies) and Bachelor of Arts – Political Science from the University of California at Riverside.
