Job Description:Ninyo & Moore has an opening in our Orange County office for a Staff Level Environmental Professional. The successful candidate should have experience in Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments, periodic groundwater monitoring and reporting, and field oversight for assessment and remediation projects.
Education:The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Geology, Civil Engineering, or related field. An advanced degree and/or professional registration is a plus. Current OSHA HAZWOPER training also a plus.
Required Skills: Three to five years' experience, preferably with an environmental consulting firm performing duties described above. The successful candidate will have work experience with some or all of the following: landfills, mines, UST/petroleum, roadways, chlorinated solvents, metals, and pesticide contaminated sites. The candidate should have excellent oral and written communication skills, positive attitude, and a strong work ethic. The candidate must be able to work both independently and as a team member and must have a current valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.

In this position you will take a leadership role in BlueScape’s continued expansion in the Southern California region, and beyond. Your primary responsibilities will be to manage and complete challenging technical projects for existing and new clients, assist procurement of sales, supervise staff, and work to keep projects on-time and budget. Your primary technical focus will be air quality services. In addition to serving clients by leading consulting projects, Business Development will be your focus about 30% of the time. Desired Skills and Experience:
A minimum Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering or scientific discipline is required. The ideal candidate will possess 8 or more years of environmental consulting experience, with substantial project experience in consulting air quality services. The candidate must have demonstrated Project Management and Business Development relationships with industries including power generation, chemical manufacturing, refining, oil & gas, and general manufacturing. Air quality project experience, including permitting, emissions calculation and impact modeling experience, and experience managing or completing projects for submittals to California air districts, are essential for this position. As evidenced by past work experience, you should have a strong client service track record, including solving environmental compliance problems, managing client expectations and resolving problems, supervising staff, and managing project budgets. The following certifications are desired, but not required: PE, CPP, CPM.

The Mid-Level Air Quality Engineer/Scientist performs professional engineering work of considerable difficulty executing the compliance and permitting functions in regards to Air Quality Regulations and Compliance. This candidate will be analyzing permit-related technical and regulatory issues, and communicating those analyses within the department, with applicants, with other agencies and with the public at large; performs other duties as required or assigned.
This is a Mid-Level position working under general supervision and guidance.
The candidate qualifications we are looking for include:
· 5-10 years of work experience in the air quality industry in an engineering role (preferably in a consulting environment);
· Extensive experience with air permitting for Title V, RECLAIM, Annual Emissions Reporting, Air Dispersion Modeling, Air Quality Assessments including Data Analysis and Emission Inventories;
· Ability to manage multiple clients at any given time without losing focus of quality;
· Experience with working on-site at client facilities;
· Proven track record of successful regulatory work in dealing with the BAAQMD, SCAQMD, SJVAPCD, VCAPD, EPA, CARB and other similar agencies;
· Experience in conflict resolution and prioritizing tasks;
· Highly motivated to continue working in air quality environmental field and expand their knowledge and experience;
· CA experience is required.

· Advanced computer applications and database management;
· Analysis and interpretation;
· Ability to display leadership skills and traits;
· Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Access.
· B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Chemistry, or other Engineering/Scientific degree;

· C.P.P. certification preferred but not required.
· P.E. certifications in the State of CA preferred but not required.
