BlueScape is seeking an accomplished professional for a position as a Senior Project Manager. In this position you will take a leadership role in BlueScape’s continued expansion in the Southern California region, and beyond. Your primary responsibilities will be to manage and complete challenging technical projects for existing and new clients, assist procurement of sales, supervise staff, and work to keep projects on-time and budget. Your primary technical focus will be air quality services. In addition to serving clients by leading consulting projects, Business Development will be your focus about 30% of the time. This position allows you flexibility by working from home on a full-time basis, utilizing cloud technology. Desired Skills and Experience:
A minimum Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering or scientific discipline is required. The ideal candidate will possess 8 or more years of environmental consulting experience, with substantial project experience in consulting air quality services. The candidate must have demonstrated Project Management and Business Development relationships with industries including power generation, chemical manufacturing, refining, oil & gas, and general manufacturing. Air quality project experience, including permitting, emissions calculation and impact modeling experience, and experience managing or completing projects for submittals to California air districts, are essential for this position. As evidenced by past work experience, you should have a strong client service track record, including solving environmental compliance problems, managing client expectations and resolving problems, supervising staff, and managing project budgets. The following certifications are desired, but not required: PE, CPP, CPM.

We are looking for a sharp Mid-Level Air Quality Engineer/Scientist to join our team in Northern California. We are a growing, highly respected environmental air quality consulting firm based out of Southern California. The Mid-Level Air Quality Engineer/Scientist performs professional engineering work of considerable difficulty executing the compliance and permitting functions in regards to Air Quality Regulations and Compliance. This candidate will be analyzing permit-related technical and regulatory issues, and communicating those analyses within the department, with applicants, with other agencies and with the public at large; performs other duties as required or assigned.
This is a Mid-Level position working under general supervision and guidance.
The candidate qualifications we are looking for include:
· 5-10 years of work experience in the air quality industry in an engineering role (preferably in a consulting environment);
· Extensive experience with air permitting for Title V, RECLAIM, Annual Emissions Reporting, Air Dispersion Modeling, Air Quality Assessments including Data Analysis and Emission Inventories;
· Ability to manage multiple clients at any given time without losing focus of quality;
· Experience with working on-site at client facilities;
· Proven track record of successful regulatory work in dealing with the BAAQMD, SCAQMD, SJVAPCD, VCAPD, EPA, CARB and other similar agencies;
· Experience in conflict resolution and prioritizing tasks;
· Highly motivated to continue working in air quality environmental field and expand their knowledge and experience;
· CA experience is required.

The EH&S Manager is responsible for performing, directing and overseeing various functions of the organization associated with the environment and employee health and safety. Heading up the Company’s EH&S Compliance Programs, will coordinate with auditors and inspectors from outside agencies that involve our operations. Will function as a program manager as required to implement and maintain corporate directed programs such as Business Continuity and ISO 14001. Managing the company safety program, will maintain compliance with the IIPP, Hazcom, and maintenance of hazardous waste collection, storage, documentation, record retention, and disposal activities. Will ensure that employees in functional areas follow established procedures and ensure company compliance with federal, state and local regulations. Regulatory knowledge should include OSHA, EPA, ATF, AQMD, RWQCB, OCFA, DTSC, CUPA-OCHCA, DOT and any other related EHS laws and regulations. Also responsible for writing and executing company-wide safety policies to comply with California OSHA, Cal EPA and other local and corporate health and safety requirements. Duties are of a hands-on nature. Will serve as company liaison in the event of any cited regulatory discrepancies and, if necessary, coordinate corrective actions. Will serve as point of contact with consultants and regulatory agencies as directed by Meggitt USA (MUSA) environmental, health and safety programs, to include workers’ compensation best practice analysis, health and safety audits and environmental compliance audits.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage, train, update and report on general business programs such as Business Continuity and corporate metrics. Serve as point-of-contact with regulatory auditors and inspectors. Provide a monthly status report to senior management on accomplishments, upcoming activities and future plans/recommendations. Maintain records/documents verifying EHS programs are in compliance.
Develop, implement, train, update and report on all programs/processes to comply with environmental requirements, including ISO 14001, storm water, and hazardous waste and material management.
Review general practices and work areas for safety compliance. Assist in the establishment and enforcement of company safety policies and practices. Facilitate monthly safety committee meeting and maintain Near Miss Log. Make recommendations and implement companywide safety improvements. Update IIPP and Safety Manuals, make required inspections, train personnel, maintain logs and serve as point of contact for audits by outside parties. Develop and manage employee safety training programs; to include new hire orientation, health and safety, ergonomics, forklift, Lockout/Tagout, MSDS, Right to Know, hazardous communication, emergency response, fire protection, hearing conservation, PPE and first aid. Develop emergency preparedness plans and act as Emergency Coordinator. Will ensure eye wash and safety stations are maintained throughout the facility.
Oversee fire equipment audits and associated testing. Insure that the proper number, type and placement of fire extinguishers are consistent with best practices. Act as point of contact for fire department inspections.
Education: Bachelor’s degree from afour-year college or university and 5+ years’ experience in Environmental, Health and Safety programs. Requires 3+ years’ experience delivering safety training. Chemical knowledge coupled with a mechanical aptitude and familiarity with government regulation regarding environment, health and safety issues. Should be knowledgeable and experienced with California OSHA and Cal EPA standards. Hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment is important.
Computer skills: Personal Computer literate. Spreadsheets, word processing and presentations (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
